This session replicated the ever popular careers session at our regular events. In this webinar we focussed on the importance of resilience and managing your energy for those working at the ‘coal-face’ in AdOps, TechOps and programmatic roles. Particularly with the long hours and pressures of working-from-home during the lockdown period.
We also had insights and advice from some of our council members as well as local industry panel on the topic.
Speakers:
- Jonas Jaanimagi, Tech Lead, IAB Australia (moderator)
- Claire Harrison, Executive Coach, ThriveU
- Justin Orchard, Director, Operations & Technology, Verizon Media
- Amy McCormack, Founder, A&A Digital Services
- Paulo Maranhao, Head of Platforms AUNZ – Marketer, Google

STRENGTHS
Understanding our strengths and values & knowing what drives us helps us make better decisions about how to spend our time and energy. So the first step is to find out what your strengths and values are!
Strengths are defined as behaving, thinking, or feeling in a way that’s authentic and energising, enabling you to perform at your best, with energy & drive, so we’re less likely to be worn out at the end of the day.
There are a number of free online tools that will give you a brief overview of your strengths such as VIA (more like values than strengths), Clifton Strengths Finder & CAPP Strengths Profile. To go deep on your strengths and understand how best to apply them I recommend working with a coach or HR professional who is certified.
I’m certified in CAPP Strengths Profile which is specifically geared toward understanding our strengths in a professional setting, if anyone is interested in learning more they are welcome to reach out to me directly at claire@thriveu.com.au
MINDFULNESS
I run an 6 week online mindfulness & meditation course a few times a year, the next one will launch in September 2020. If anyone is interested in learning more they can reach out to me directly.
