Mi9 challenges media agencies’ imagination + intelligence. Mi9

Thursday, 19 April 2012 – Mi9 is putting media agencies to the test to see if they have the ‘imagination + intelligence’ required to unlock The Mi9 Vault, for the chance to win one of 28 iPads and a Trip to the USA.

The Mi9 Vaults will be delivered to media agencies across NSW and Victoria from next Monday. Promotional staff will install the 1.2m high plinth-like units and issue each agency staffer with a digital key instructing them on how to register and unlock the vault.

The first phase of the contest asks participants to answer a trivia question each day, for five days. To play, participants physically enter the answer into an iPad that is built into the top of the vaults.

Participants have a week to sign up before the five day promotion officially kicks off next Monday 30 April.
The first person at each agency to correctly crack all five daily codes on Friday 4 May will ‘unlock the vault’ and win an iPad.

Agency finalists will then face off in a further round of media industry trivia, for the chance to win the grand prize: a trip for themselves and a colleague to the USA to visit the Microsoft Envisioning Lab in Seattle, Washington.

At the Envisioning Lab, the winner will explore prototypes of media technologies that could transform the way we work and live over the next five to ten years. Built at full scale, these labs explore practical applications of cutting-edge technical trends and futuristic prototypes.

Mi9 Marketing Director, Roxanne Shipley says, “We wanted to celebrate the launch of Mi9 in a fun way that brings to life what our new brand is all about – using imagination plus intelligence to unlock digital opportunities. The grand prize is an exciting and career-building trip as the Envisioning Lab is normally only open to Microsoft’s most senior global clients and under NDA.” The Mi9 Vault competition is only open to invited media agencies across NSW and Victoria.
