13 January, 2014 – SpotXchange, Inc., the trusted platform for video advertising, today announced the appointment of Sujen Selva as Regional Manager, Southeast Asia.

In this newly created role, Selva will be responsible for leading SpotXchange’s efforts in Southeast Asia and supporting both publisher and advertiser relations in the region. Based in Singapore, Selva will report to Matt Von der Muhll, Managing Director for SpotXchange, Asia Pacific.

SpotXchange has achieved significant growth in the APAC region since opening its Australian office in 2011 and has seen programmatic video advertising revenue in the region grow almost 900 percent from 2011 to 2013. The company also continues to drive awareness and education for programmatic trading in the Asia Pacific markets.

“We are delighted to have Sujen join our team and we look forward to working closely with him to ensure SpotXchange is providing the necessary support to both advertisers and publishers in Southeast Asia,” said Matt Von der Muhll, Managing Director for SpotXchange, Asia Pacific. “Digital video advertising in the Asia Pacific region is growing at an exponential rate and Sujen’s role was created to help SpotXchange meet this increasing demand. We see a significant opportunity in the region, and this is the next step of many we anticipate for continued investment and expansion of our presence in Asia Pacific.”

Prior to joining SpotXchange, Selva held the role of Social Specialist at Adconion Australia, where he was instrumental in launching the social media platform for the company and managed its operations and product development.

“I am thrilled to work with SpotXchange at a time when digital video advertising is growing rapidly in the Asia Pacific region,” said Selva. “SpotXchange is a pioneer in the online video space, offering a market leading video advertising platform, and I look forward to providing education and greater clarity for agencies, ATD’s and publishers in terms of programmatic trading. There is still a lot of confusion and a lack of transparency, which is clouding the waters on both sides of the video ecosystem, and so the key will be to build lasting relationships between buyers and publishers.”
