The featured speakers below are particularly passionate about ensuring our next generation of talent coming tertiary institutions have access to industry as well as feeling supported and inspired as they embark their career journey.

Adele Wieser

Regional Managing Director APAC, Index Exchange


Adele has over 12+ years digital experience and 8+ years in programmatic, and has secured a reputation as one of the top authorities on programmatic media trading in Australia and the broader APAC region.Adele got her first taste of the power of technology in the digital ecosystem straight out of university, optimising the performance campaigns for advertisers at two market leading publishers in Australia.


For Adele, technology has allowed her to develop a childhood love of solving puzzles into a career focused on tackling complex issues for digital publishers and buyers. Making the transition into the technology space in early 2012, Adele furthered her expertise in programmatic by working with exchange technology and began consulting for CoLab Media Consulting in 2016 before her appointment as Country Manager at Index Exchange in 2017.


 In 2019, Adele was appointed as Regional Managing Director and is responsible for overseeing the company’s operations, strategic direction and future growth opportunities for the APAC region. 

JOSH SLIGHTING

Head of Product - Media, REA Group


Josh has worked in Data, Tech & Product, in sales, consulting and business management roles. Now in a business scaling capability and innovation in new / challenged markets. He currently work at the REA Group, an Australian digital advertising company that operations leading property websites. 


His specialities include data, adtech, media and advertising.

He has previously studied at UOW & Sydney Business School.

SORREL OSBORNE

Head of Business Operations, Playground XYZ

Sorrel is the Head of Business Operations for Playground xyz, a global adtech company which is part of the GumGum global group, having been acquired in December 2021.

She previously worked in digital publishing for an independent Australian publisher, Conversant Media, where she held a variety of roles across sales, ad operations and business management, eventually becoming COO of the business.

From there she moved to martech and was Head of Operations and Commercial for Audience Republic, a platform focused on selling more tickets for live events and festivals through driving viral word of mouth marketing.


Sorrel is a UTS alumnus where she undertook an MBA and undergraduate studies in Communications and in International Relations

TIM ARMSTRONG

Director Digital Capability and Data, NOVA Entertainment

Tim is a digital native, experience across digital, data, technology, operations and building teams. He is currently working with leading radio and audio company NOVA Entertainment.

JESSICA MILES

Country Manager, Integral Ad Science

Jessica Miles is the Country Manager for Australia and New Zealand at Integral Ad Science. She is based in Sydney and in her current role, Jessica is leading the IAS business in the region, planning and executing the go-to-market strategy and business objectives for ANZ.Previous to her current role, she held the position of ANZ Sales Director with IAS, driving the commercial efforts for the region. Jessica has had extensive experience in adtech at InMobi and Pocketmath and on the publisher side at Fairfax Media. Her experience includes driving revenue growth and working with a range of clients from agencies, advertisers and publishers. Jessica holds a Bachelor in Business Administration from Macquarie University and she also studied Negotiation at Harvard Business School. 

IMRAN masood

Country Manager AUNZ, DoubleVerify

Imran has worked in the media, advertising and technology industry for almost two decades,  across multiple markets. From Content creation, TV and Digital Adsales, to Technology,


Measurement and innovation in emerging channels. Operated as a senior executive for almost 10 years across Adtech firms and Agency Holding Groups. 


Prior to DoubleVerify he has previously worked at GroupM, Sizmek, Amobee and Channel 10. 


James Bayes

General Manager AUNZ, The Trade Desk

James Bayes serves as ANZ General Manager, where he oversees all business in Australia and New Zealand, with a particular focus on expanding the Connected TV business and building The Trade Desk’s market footprint. Bayes brings nearly twenty years of experience in senior digital, sales leadership, technology, startup and media agency roles in Australia, the United Kingdom, and the United States. He joined The Trade Desk from Seven Network, one of Australia’s largest integrated media companies, where he led all aspects of the company’s digital commercial operations. Bayes has been at the forefront of data-driven addressable TV in Australia, and brings a wealth of hands-on experience in the rapid transformation of the broadcast industry and IP-delivered video. James is a graduate of the University of Melbourne, and is based in The Trade Desk’s Sydney office.

EMMA HEGG

Group Director - Platforms, oOh!

Emma has fifteen years experience in media, specifically out of home (OOH). She has worked both media agency side as well as media vendor, as well as being involved in numerous industry projects.


Prior to oOh! Media, Emma worked at dentsu International as their Head of Out of Home for Australia. 

RICHARD PALMER

Director of Market Development (APAC), Triton Digital

Richard has had a successful career working in the radio and digital audio industry, spanning over 20 years. He has held a variety of positions in these fields, including on-air roles as well as management positions such as head of digital and market development throughout the Asia-Pacific and Southeast Asian regions.


He is a specialist in radio, digital Audio (end-to-end), sales and management.


He has previously studies at the Australian Film, Television and Radio School. 

JOHN MCNERNEY

Managing Director, Yahoo Advertising

John is a vastly experienced digital advertising expert who has spent the last 15 years immersed in the world of advertising data and technology. He looks after the technology underpinning Yahoo's suite of products that brands, agencies and publishers use, working to bring innovative and impactful solutions to life for blue-chip clients in the region. John sits on the IAB Australia Board and is a leading expert in programmatic advertising and it’s evolution.

AMELIA WARD

Head of Buyer Development AUNZ, Index Exchange

Amelia spent 22 years working in media agencies as a digital specialist through to Head of Digital. Her agency experience spans across both Holding Company (Omnicom's PHD) and independents (i-level UK and NetX Australia). She has recently moved across into programmatic advertising technology with Index Exchange.


Amelia's expertise spans across digital media, data, marketing technology, programmatic and advertising technology. She is a natural technical translator and, in her current role, uses this skill to design and deliver relevant solutions for her customers.


She is a Macquarie University alumnus. 

VIKKI PEARCE

Head of Digital, Melbourne, Zenith

Vikki's career spans 17 years in digital media, starting out in Ad sales in the UK working for Microsoft Advertising and then ad-network Adconion. She then transferred over to Australia spending  12 years in the digital media community, 10 of those years in media agencies raging from media planning and buying, programmatic, media commercial investment and digital ad operations. 

VIKki's  most recent role is Head of Digital at Zenith where her role spans across all aspects of digital media, talent development and new business.

JOSHUA LEE 

National Head of Digital and Data, Zenith Media

With 14 years in digital media and agency side Joshua has a background in digital strategy and planning, investment, programmatic trading and performance media.

Having worked on various brands across Australia and Canada he draws inspiration and learnings from global and cross-category experience. After leading Dentsu digital investment arm (Amplifi) in Canada, he returned to Australia as Zenith's National Head of Digital & Data,

He is passionate about digital, data, and technology, with a keen focus on the future.

He has a Bachelor of Commerce (Marketing & Management) 2008 Alumni of The University of Melbourne.

RACHIDA MURRAY

Chief Digital Officer, Spark Foundry Australia

Rachida is a Frenchie living in Sydney. She is fascinated by communication and mathematics. Growing-up bilingual in a polyglot family she loved being able to share ideas with different people in different ways.

 
Discovering  Marketing in Business School she found a discipline that has provided me with a lifetime of interest, creativity and opportunity. Specialising in Media and Digital has given her  numbers oriented mind a playground of puzzles to solve.

Currently she works for one of the fastest growing agencies in Australia, Spark Foundry, leading a team of over 60 good humans across digital and technology services to help our clients solve complex issues and and reach their marketing goals.
Providing programmatic, performance, social, search and technology solutions.

JAKE SELLEY

APAC Sales Director, PlaygroundXYZ

Jake began his career in offline data & CRM space, moving to digital media measurement, verification, and attribution. Currently helping to lead expansion of Attention Measurement for Playground xyz, which combines eye-tracking and AI to predict how much attention is paid to advertising. Attention is a key indicator to measure digital media effectiveness.


He is a specialist in Programmatic Advertising, Measurement & Effectiveness, Advertising & Marketing Technology, Business Development, Leadership, and Self-Development


Jake has a MBA from the University of Sydney. 

RICHARD KNOTT

General Manager, Australia and New Zealand at InfoSum

Richard Knott has over 25 years of experience in the media and marketing space. Beginning his career in TV, radio, telco, and mobile marketing, he is now a specialist in the data and technology industries.

He joined InfoSum in April 2022 with a remit to launch its world-leading data collaboration platform into Australia and New Zealand. He is responsible for expanding its business in the region, with a focus on informing and educating leading brands on how to deliver a better data-driven customer experience through privacy-safe collaborations.

Most recently, Richard was Commercial Strategy & Business Development Director APAC at Quantcast, and Regional Director & GM, APAC for creative management platform Celtra. 


He is a specialist in Data Clean Rooms, first and second party data, data privacy in marketing, data collaboration, deterministic & probabilisitic data, machine learning in marketing, creative automation, programmatic
