  4. Do Agencies Have a 27 Year Old Client Problem? (via Digiday)interesting overview of the challenges facing agencies when dealing with younger client-side staffers where progressive ideas can be hard to sell in.
  5. What Real People Don’t Say About Advertising (via tumblr) – a humorous dose of perspective for everyone in our industry and a good reminder not to take ourselves too seriously.

Where the Digital Media Audit Has Gone Wrong(via MandMGlobal) – John Billet (the man recognised as the creator of today’s media audit) outlines why today’s media audits are rarely delivering as they don’t tell advertisers what they really need to know and may even be helping media agencies earn performance cash for delivering below average buying rates. 
  9. The Future of Advertising: Omnipotent, or Omnishambles? (TheEconomist) – good article with the now compulsory reference to ‘Mad Men’. Worthwhile comment stream too.
  10. How Eduardo Saverin Sold Facebook Ads in 2004 (via Digiday) – riveting look at the media kit Facebook used in their first pitch to advertisers on Madison Avenue.  They’ve come a long way.
  11. Must Read Book: Dot.Bomb Australia by Kate Askew: How We Wrangled, Conned and Argie-bargied our Way Into the New Digital Universe – The inside story of the internet boom and bust, of the business deals which made headlines, and the cast of characters behind them.
