Paul McIntyre, Editor-in-Chief, AdNews Paul McIntyre is Editor-in-Chief of AdNews and AdNews TV. Prior to these roles, McIntyre was media and marketing editor at The Sydney Morning Herald, a position he held from 2004 until 2010. McIntyre has written about the media and marketing industries since 1994, initially for The Australian Financial Review before shifting over to work as a Columnist on the Media section in 1998.

After completing a geography BSc studying the science of climate change long before it was fashionable, Howard spent a few years learning that merchant banking and insurance did not suit him before landing at market research. His research career has been focused on brands and advertising in the UK, New Zealand and Australia where his frustration with average research and a meeting of minds with Sharyn Smith led them to set up pollinate to establish research that focussed on people as the most powerful agents for change. Howard is also a director of Soup, one of the world’s leading advocacy and WOM agencies. Howard loves public speaking, is passionately committed to the pursuit of sustainability in our lifetimes, a proud father and a terrible surfer.

Liam has a detailed knowledge of digital media and marketplaces. For the last 5-6 years he has specialised in working with international organisations and developing/launching them in Australia.

Liam has a thorough understanding of monetisation and commercialisation of digital assets.

Monique Harris, Head of Digital Commercial Strategy, Bauer Media Group

Monique Harris is considered a digital and online pioneer after having successfully founded and built her own company Tempest Media, and one of Australia’s first online women’s magazines Shesaid.com.au.
In her current role as Bauer Media’s Head of Digital Commercial Strategy, Monique oversees the expansion of Bauer’s in-house digital capabilities, capitalising on the biggest women’s magazine brands in Australia, including The Australian Women’s Weekly, Woman’s Day, Harper’s BAZAAR and ELLE Australia.

Passionate about using her digital expertise to benefit others, Monique is also heavily involved with the non-profit organisation ‘Open Heart International’, raising much needed funds and often providing on the ground support for the paediatric open heart medical team in Cambodia.

 

Ciaran Norris BK

Ciaran Norris, Head of Strategy and Integration, Yahoo!7

Ciarán Norris is the Head of Strategy and Integration for Yahoo7, overseeing advertising and commercial integration strategies across mobile, video and cross-platform solutions.

Ciarán works within Yahoo7’s Commercial team and directly with Seven West Media’s RED Division to drive collaboration and grow integrated advertising opportunities for Yahoo7. He reports to Paul Sigaloff, Commercial Director of Yahoo7.

Ciarán has more than 14 years experience in digital media and marketing, most recently as Chief Digital Officer Mindshare Australia where he oversaw digital strategy and innovation for both local and multinational clients. He has also held digital marketing positions across the UK and Australia, with previous roles at Reed Business Information, Engine Group and Mindshare UK.
