Making the Most of Your IAB Membership in 2024

Making the most of any investment will continue to be a key industry theme in 2024 and this also applies to your investment in IAB Australia. Not only does investment in IAB help drive important industry initiatives it provides member organisations and the individuals within member organisations with a huge range of exclusive benefits. Sometimes it can be hard to navigate everything on offer so below is a selection of some of the key ways you can get involved and make the most of your membership. Many of the offerings are behind a member wall – anyone with an email address for one of our financially active members can set up a login here and the easiest way to stay up to date is to ensure you are subscribed to our weekly newsletter

  1. Attend IAB events – IAB member organisations receive two free tickets to eleven events and discounted tickets to our MeasureUp conference. These events are carefully curated to provide the latest research, case studies, technical updates & thought leadership as well as providing you with ample opportunity to network with new and existing industry colleagues. 
  2. Submit your case studies – make sure that marketers and agencies can access your case studies. Last year there were over 10K downloads from the IAB Australia Case Study Library
  3. Promote your research, whitepapers, jobs & events – member resources that are useful for the industry will be promoted in the weekly IAB newsletter which is distributed to over 7K industry leaders each Thursday afternoon
  4. Profile your organisation – fill out the Meet Our Member form to be profiled on the IAB site and promoted in our newsletter. 
  5. Access free e-learning courses – there are a range of free training courses for members including retail media, digital audio, programmatic DOOH, ad effectiveness, market mix modelling and affiliate marketing. People who complete the courses will be issued with a credential that they are can use professionally and promote on LinkedIn. 
  6. Organise an IAB briefing session – member organisations can organise briefings from the IAB team on a range of topics for their teams to keep across key industry topics and research 
  7. Download quarterly market revenue reports – IAB Australia works with PwC to quantity the size of the digital advertising market each quarter with details on ad formats, buying methods, advertiser categories and more. This highly valuable information can be download as reports or as a data file with information going back to 2006. 
  8. Nick slides for your presentations – each month slides on online consumer habits are available for members on a range of topics including trend data from the industry ratings currency Ipsos iris. 
  9. Become of mentor or mentee – applications are closed for the first wave of 2024 but if you are a senior industry leader please get in contact with an IAB team member to put yourself forward for consideration for the next wave. Applications for mentees will open again in July 2024. 
  10. Obtain discounts on industry events – many of the local industry event organisers generously share a discount to IAB members. Login in to obtain discount codes. 
  11. Read member exclusive ad tech and policy updates – access regular member exclusive updates from our Head of Tech Jonas Jaanimagi and Director of Policy & Regulatory Affairs Sarah Waladan.
