9 March 2012: IAB Australia announced today that it has appointed Nina Nyman as Events, Education and Training Manager. Nina brings more than ten years’ experience in international event management within the media and marketing industry.
One of Nina’s key responsibilities will be to manage the existing IAB events programme and develop the event schedule to support IAB’s objectives. She will also develop a feasibility study for an IAB education and training programme.
Paul Fisher, IAB Australia CEO commented: “IAB Australia members have consistently voiced their demand for high quality informational, and increasingly, educational events and resources to help them meet the challenges of the rapidly evolving digital advertising landscape. Nina brings exceptional international experience including two years as Senior Event Manager with the IAB UK team. Her passion for digital marketing and events together with her strong understanding of the media and marketing industry will be invaluable in helping us achieve our goals for 2012.”
Prior to joining IAB Australia Nina held a variety of senior positions including Head of Events at the Australian Institute of Management NSW & ACT, Senior Events Manager at IAB UK and Manager of Marketing Communications and Events at Publicitas Europe in London.
IAB Australia recently announced record Online Advertising Expenditure results and the opening of two new membership categories. 25 of Australia’s top advertisers have already taken advantage of the Honorary Membership, highlighting the opportunity for future growth and importance of an Events, Education and Training Manager to help facilitate these new ventures.
