IAB Podcast Ad Metrics Guidelines – 2016

After careful review of the of IAB U.S. Podcasting Guidelines and consultation with a range of stakeholders IAB Australia’s Audio Advertising Council feels that these guidelines and the work carried out by the IAB in the US is applicable and valuable to the Australian market and IAB Australia has officially endorsed these guidelines.

The goal of the guidelines is to improve standards and increase buyer confidence by standardising how we measure the ads listeners hear, on and offline, providing advertisers a closer parity to data extrapolated on other mediums.

The IAB Audio Council will continue to work toward clear and relevant metrics for the measurement of podcasting across different devices so as to better inform the market on the true reach and value of the medium in Australia.
