New Member Q&A: Pixability

Every now and then we like to highlight a new IAB Australia member that we think our community will find interesting. Today we meet Pixability. Written by Poppy Hill, Managing Director APAC at Pixability. 

Please give us some historical background to the company:

In 2008, Bettina Hein founded Pixability out of MIT as a video insights company. 
Today Pixability is a technology and data company that empowers the world's largest brands and their agencies to maximize the value of video advertising on YouTube and other leading CTV platforms. The company is certified by Google’s YouTube Measurement Program as a leader in brand suitability/contextual targeting and YouTube content insights, and has the only AI-driven 3rd-party platform driving campaign efficiency across YouTube and CTV.

Tell us a little bit about your company's mission and vision?

Mission - Make every video ad impression matter on YouTube and CTV.
Vision - YouTube and CTV will be the primary platforms to consume video and Pixability will be the best way for advertisers to maximize the value of both

Do you have a particular 'hero product' that you are most proud of? 
There are two hero products:
1. Pixability’s Contextual Segments are premium inventory lineups for YouTube and CTV that are powered by the company’s proprietary BrandShield technology which leverages the same AI used by Google and Apple. Pixability uses ChapGPT to more efficiently analyze massive amounts of video content data which results in the most accurate models for assessing the suitability of video content. 

2. Pixability’s privacy-safe and proprietary solution for delivering cross-platform reach and frequency across YouTube and CTV hits the sweet spot that is critical to driving brand recall while maximizing campaign impressions. The solution allows an advertiser to maximize reach and optimize for frequency across YouTube, CTV and other leading CTV platforms like Hulu and Roku, all in a privacy safe environment.

What area of digital do you personally work in and how do you hope to enhance this within your business?
I work in ad tech with a specialist focus on digital advertising, product and commercialisation across gaming, CTV, social, mobile and AI/GANs platforms. 

In my role as Managing Director APAC, Pixability, I hope to help marketers understand the business implications of applying new technological progress such as AI and data clean rooms to help solve problems dealing with massive amounts of data and video content by utilizing privacy durable solutions that sets advertisers up for the future.

Please tell us what, as a child, you wanted to be 'when you grew up'?
NASA Astronomer
