Digital Advertising Standards & Specifications

The IAB Australia Standards & Guidelines Council have recently worked to consolidate all of the latest digital advertising standards and specifications – and ensure that they are easy to find and all in one place.

Each related council and/or working group will then oversee these standards, regularly review them and ensure that they are kept up-to-date:

Display & Mobile Advertising – includes information and links to all specifications for both flexible and fixed size units.

Video, CTV & OTT Advertising – includes guidelines and specifications for in-stream video ads delivered within web environments, in-app, CTV and OTT. The requirements for server-side ad insertion (SSAI) are also included.

Native Advertising – includes all related definitions and specifications.

Audio Advertising – Buyers Guide, published by the Audio Council in September 2022.

Digital Out-Of-Home (DOOH) Advertising – DOOH Buyer’s guide, published by the DOOH Working Group in August 2021.

Game Advertising – Game Advertising Handbook, published by the Gaming Working Group in July 2022.

IAB Tech Lab Standards – A summary of all the key standards and specifications released and managed by the IAB Tech Lab. These include OpenRTB protocols, Open Measurement, VAST, Data Label, Taxonomies & Programmatic Transparency Standards.
